K.C. Collins (Hale)

K.C. Collins calls L.A. home, but was born in Toronto, Canada. Collins is currently filming the 2013 MGM Studio blockbuster Robocop, alongside Gary Oldman, Samuel L. Jackson and Joel Kinnaman.

Before acting, Collins was an accomplished athlete and received multiple scholarship offers for a variety of sports before committing to a baseball scholarship at Monroe College in New York.

Collins launched his acting career on the TV series Due South, then played opposite Lou Gosset Jr. and Andre Braugher in Love Songs; Gregory Hines in The Red Sneakers and Gerard Depardieu in Crime Spree.

He has built a career of stunning and varied character portrayals on both the big and small screen, garnering praise for his remarkable work opposite Philip Seymour Hoffman in Owning Mahoney. He played an Atlantic City casino employee, who befriends a gambler/embezzler played by Hoffman. He received accolades for his gut-wrenching performance in Poor Boy’s Game, where he transformed seamlessly into the mentally challenged Charles Carvery opposite Danny Glover.

Collins’ broad range of performances and compellingly diverse characters have brought him critical acclaim, including been honored with the coveted ACTRA Award for Canada’s Top Male Lead Actor for his performance in the CBC Mini-series Guns. He then earned a Gemini Award nomination for Best Performance in a Lead Role for his portrayal of Jeddi Barrows in Doomstown.
