Character arc

Laveau was the "head" Revenant in a shanty town where people went when they didn't want to be found and where the "Cults of the Dead" hung out. She awakened dead Fae and controlled them. She sent one to kill Bo because she wanted to have the sixth Origin Seed that contained the combined powers of the slain Una Mens to protect herself against the Pyrippus. Laveau thought Bo had the seed.

Drinking the blood of a revenant is the only way to gain dominion over it, or find out who currently has it. The only way to stop a revenant is by decapitating it, and when her lover, Harvey, revealed that Laveau was actually dead, Bo decapitated her and drank the blood from her head. In doing so, she gained dominion over the revenants Laveau had sent to attack her and ordered them to be at peace, at which point they all fell dead again.

Relationships

  • Harvey: Her alive lover.
  • Sisters: She had two sisters and all three of them were "magic". Two died, but Laveau survived because she could control the dead.

Quotes

"I know you've felt that crazy kind of love, wolf. I've seen into your animal heart. But when you gonna see its prison is wholly of your own making?" – Laveau to Dyson
