Effective August 1, 2015, only Registered Users are able to edit pages of the Lost Girl Wiki, participate in discussions, and leave comments on Talk pages. Why this step has finally been taken is explained in Message # 3 below.
5 • New editors
If you're a new editor please stop --> look --> observe how pages are edited and how content is written in the Lost Girl Wiki. As of this writing the wiki has existed and thrived for over 5 years. It doesn't need any wheels to be reinvented. It doesn't need any "furniture" rearranged. The Lost Girl Wiki embraces new, additional, and updated information ... but whatever is contributed needs to adhere to the style and procedures of this wiki. So please, before you start editing, see how things are done in the Lost Girl Wiki first. And read the welcome message posted by Wikia in your Talk page. Thank you! ~ Virago a-go-go (talk) October 29, 2015
4 • Upgrading of Screenshot files
Many files uploaded during Season 1 and 2 are of poor quality. They are blurry and some were cropped severely. Some file sizes are also too large (width over 1000 px). Additionally, there are too many screenshots with the Showcase logo watermark on them (suggesting that they were made from illegally downloaded episodes). Seasons 1 and 2 became available on DVD and Blu-ray in 2012 and screenshots without the Showcase logo should be what appears in the wiki's collection of image files. In an effort to improve older screenshot files, they are being upgraded as necessary to (1) high quality, (2) without Showcase logo, and (3) sized per policy. ~ Virago a-go-go (talk) July 15, 2015
3 • Locked pages
Two months ago my Talk page was vandalized by an Anon. A member of Wikia's Spam Task Force picked up on it and reverted the vandalism on my behalf. Because of this and other previous incidents of vandalism, spams, and malicious edits by Anonymous editors ... only Registered Users are now allowed to edit and create pages in the Lost Girl Wiki.
Except for a few Admin-only protected pages, articles in the Lost Girl Wiki can be accessed by all Registered Editors of the Lost Girl Wiki (and frankly, if someone truly cares about the existence of a wiki and the information contained in it they would create an account and become a member of that wiki). ~ Virago a-go-go (talk) August 1, 2015
Many episodes are missing the narrative of their plot.
This important information is where the most knowledgeable Lost Girl fans can contribute tremendously to the history of the series. :-)
For convenience and to not have a mostly blank page, Syfy (U.S.) website recaps have been imported to the plot section of several episode pages. However, they are only a temporary measure. ~ Virago a-go-go (talk) January 14, 2015
